Two Veteran Families have a new home.

Today, we were honored to be part of re-housing two of our veteran families! We couldn’t do it without the network of congregations and volunteers who graciously agree to shelter and feed our families (even over several major holidays!) while we work in partnership with them to find their pathway home. We also could not have done it without our strong collaborations with Housing for Homeless, Community of Hope, Catholic Charities, Volunteers of America, Eckerd, Peace GAP Ministries, and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association!

Family homelessness is a complex issue that cannot be summed up in one word. But the answer is more clear….a coordinated response. We are stronger together than we are alone. Without our collaborations, families remain stuck in the cycle of homelessness. With our coordinated efforts, we can move families, like Kevin’s, into housing in 25 days.  Every family has a story, and I’m proud to be part of an answer. I hope you are too!

Thank you for being a part of our lives, our families’ lives, and the community response to ending homelessness!

Family Promise of Brevard, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to address homelessness in our community – one family at a time. We are a local affiliate of a national program, helping Brevard County families find their path to self-sufficiency. Through our Interfaith Hospitality Network of congregations and community organizations, we offer compassionate guidance, food, shelter and education. Our goal is to strengthen our community by helping homeless families with children remain intact while they transition towards self-sufficiency.
