“Host Congregations open their doors one week at time, four times a year, to house, feed, and provide unconditional support to families experiencing homelessness.”
When a family loses their housing, it is common for fathers to be separated from their families or older boys to be separated from their mothers. We believe families should stay together during one of the most stressful and difficult times in their lives.
In response, Family Promise of Brevard created temporary housing through a network of interfaith congregations. These ‘Host Congregations’ open their doors one week at time, four times a year, to house, feed, and provide unconditional support to families experiencing homelessness. Without their support, homeless families would be left with few, if any, options for emergency shelter in Brevard County.
Our network connects people in crisis with people who care. For more information about ways your congregation or group can help families through our network, please contact our office at 321-209-3391. We have presentations and speakers that can fit into any time frame, event, or location. Click here to learn more about roles that congregations play in our network.

We have found at Faith Viera that this ministry has been a blessing to our family guests- but also has been a real blessing to those who are involved. There is a hunger for “hands-on” serving others. We feel privileged to be used by the Lord to serve others in our community! – Paster Ron Myer-Brevard Co- Faith Viera Lutheran Church
Family Promise of Brevard exists because of the commitment and generosity of these Brevard County congregations:
