Volunteer

Community is about doing something together that makes belonging matter. 

Our dynamic approach to serving families experiencing housing instability in Brevard would not be possible without the support of volunteers. Thousands of hours are given by hundreds of local community members each year. Whether you volunteer once or weekly, your involvement lets the families we serve know that they are not alone. ​

Family Events

We are dedicated to serving families in a variety of ways, including  offering events that support the need for creativity and connection. We need a hand setting up and tearing down, preparing materials, and helping families and staff as we deliver these fun events!

Family Meals

You can greatly support families in their time of transition by donating meals, groceries, and gift cards so that every child and parent we serve has healthy food each day.

Family Move-in Help

Are you able to help transport donated furniture to our families? We are often in need of help transporting a sofa or bed.  Even if you can't do the heavy lifting, we are looking for volunteers with pick-up trucks! Click to learn more.

Fundraisers and Special Events 

We host two annual fundraisers: The Big Brunch in February and the Golf Scramble in November. In addition, we have other events and fundraising opportunities throughout the year that offer a great way to get involved in your community!

Welcome Home Baskets and Supply Drives

Welcome Home Baskets are provided to families as they enter stable housing. We invite the community to help purchase and stock these baskets. You can pick a category, an item, or shop around!

Or consider hosting a supply drive and invite friends, family, and coworkers to get involved! Email leslie@familypromiseofbrevard.org if you'd like to learn more!

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering together is a great way to get to know your group better and give back to your local community at the same time! Whether you want to spend a day helping maintain our garden or you want to create supply kits in the comfort of your home or office, we have a project for you!
